It may be
mentioned here that paper is one of the indispensible items
in our day to day life. From education to socio-economic
activities and from industry to cultural sector paper is
widely used. It is a matter of great regret that most of the
forgery, counterfeiting, tampering and various types of
crimes are done through this paper for lack of necessary
security measures. Resultantly millions of people face
immeserable sufferings which, in turn, cause huge loss of
the country. With the aim to free the nation and the
country from paper crime,
Japan -
Bangladesh Security Printing and Papers Ltd is giving its
relentless efforts with sincerity and firm commitment since
2009. With investment and technical collaboration of Japan,
Japan-Bangladesh Security Printing and Papers Ltd has been
established at Rupgonj, 25 kilometer away from Dhaka City.
Within a short period of time it has gained trust of banks
and leading local and international organizations for
providing digital security documents at a competitive price
with global quality. In collaboration with the
internationally reputed partner TROY, presently MICR Cheques
and Dividend Warrants for the banks are being printed in
JBSPPL. Besides, certificates and documents of various
academic and other organizations are also printed with the
exclusive products of TROY Group with strict security
measures of global standard by this institution.
In presense
of the participants in the seminar, JBSPPL has demonstrated
with sample about the latest technology of providing
security and protecting the society from paper forgery. Mr.
Salim Prodhan, Chairman of Japan-Bangladesh Group expressed
that they have undertaken a project for manufacturing
security papers which will help to stop paper crime in all
stages, because stringent security measures would be ensured
in respect of use of this security paper. It was also told
that at present there is no industry in the country for
producing international standard security paper. To meet
country's demand, security papers are being imported at a
huge cost of hard-earned foreign currency. As such the
security paper manufacturing project of Japan-Bangladesh
Group is expected to save around one billion dollar of
valuable foreign currency of the country and create huge
employment opportunities which would have a positive impact
in the socio-economic sector of the country. The industry is
also expected to bring a revolutionary change in the
national economy and enhance the image of the country in the
international arena.
